イタリアのProgressive Death Metalのデビュー・アルバム。

ギター／key／ピアノ／エフェクトのTommy Talamancaを中心にした3ピース。ドラムはNecrodeathのPeso。Vo／ベースは本作で脱退したが，3rdでベーシストとして復帰したAndy Marchini。後にDark Lunacyにも参加する人物。

私的93年ハイライトは，Paradise Lost「Icon」，My Dying Bride「Turn Loose the Swans」，Anathema「Serenades」を筆頭に，Devil Doll「The Sacrilege〜」，Lacrimosa「Satura」，Type O Negative「Bloody Kisses」に夢中。Katatonia，Sigh，Necromantia，Dark Tranquillityのデビューに興奮。The Gathering「Almost a Dance」，Edge of Sanity「The Spectral Sorrows」，Burzum「Det Som Engang Var」，Darkthrone「Under a Funeral Moon」に希望。Cynic「Focus」，The God Machine「Scenes from〜」，Thought Industry「Mods Carve The Pig〜」に感動。メロスピ／メロパワ系の理想像／到達点に達したと感じて これ系に求めるものはもう無い とそれ系の発掘を終了したAngra「Angels Cry」

そして，本作名盤！劇的デスなkey使いとサウンドの雑味も重要。メロディ志向の官能イタリアンな激情満載暗黒美メタルの傑作として，Therion「Symphony Masses〜」と共に耽美デスメタルの未来に超期待した。
